KIDS design workshop

with Therese Eklund

Encouraging children to fall!

and motivate to pick themselves up

The objective of the workshop was to imagine a product by a company wishing to enter the children sector.

Given the well known philanthropic nature of Microsoft and its founder, Bill Gates, I believed that they were an ideal company for an educational approach.

Hence, I imagined how Microsoft would utilize its values in such a product.

"Your Potential. Our Passion."

I focused my research on the psychological aspect of children while falling down. Studies showed that children start crying due to the shock factor and the reactions from their parents.

Thus, with reverse psychology, I designed a playground to reassure children about falling.

Concept

Illumination to prevent claustrophobia

Light sequencing for jumps and guidance

Successive levels to keep it fun and interesting

Teddybear theme for internal psychological safety
