CAUSTICS

A Light Bending Play.

Fascinated by the way caustics bring life to an environment;
such as the shifting light patterns under a bridge or at the bottom of a swimming pool, I explored how different transparent shapes and textures interact with light.

INDIA AND
TRADITIONS

CMF exploration of rigid materials.

Returning to India after five years in Sweden, where I first entered and practiced design, I reconnected with my roots by exploring and organizing traditional Maharashtrian household materials—brass, copper, glass, and terracotta.

The goal was to discover interesting tactile and visual combinations. Glass and terracotta stood out to me, embodying a rich yet humble simplicity.

INDIA AND METAL

Form study of traditional kitchen utensils of Maharashtra.

Since independence, India prioritized food security, education, and industrial growth. Design and innovation shaped our cookware, blending industrial processes like metal spinning with traditional hammered metalwork.

I explored the forms of familiar kitchen utensils—those that evoke nostalgia and cultural connection.

3D-PRINTED
TEXTURES

Making Recycled Plastics Feel like Glass and Bending Light.

During extensive FDM prototyping at my venture Swaas AB, I discovered and adopted transparent filaments made from recycled food packaging.

By fine-tuning printing parameters to diffuse light, I created millimeter-wide blobby lenses to add depth and a glass-like frosted feel to 3D-printed PETG.
